Books You've Re-Read A Lot

What books have you re-read zillions of times?

I used to re-read the Harry Potter series a lot until the last book came along. I don't think I've re-read any of them since then.
Others... The Stranger, The Torn Skirt, and probably others that I just can't think of at the moment.

Flowers In The Attic. I re-read that book over and over.

Aw man I loved that book when I was 13. I felt so grown-up reading a book with sexing in it. :p

I've read The Unbearable Lightness of Being a few times.

I wish I was better at getting around to reading books for the first time, never mind re-reading them!!

I was 11 when I read 'Flowers In The Attic'! I was completely amazed.

So have I! I cringe just watching it though, I feel so sorry for poor Bridget. I know I'd be MORTIFIED if I made an idiot out of myself like that all the time.

I loved the Princess Diaries in middle school and high school.

The movie was alright but would have been way better if they had made it PG-13 so it was more like the book.

i feel awfully unread as the only books in this thread i've read are the harry potter books

i have read multiple times:
the bell jar
her name, titanic
cold mountain
i reread the screenplay to the Aviator a lot
the little house on the prairie books (when i was younger i read them like 10 times each)

more i cant think of

i read all my books over and over again when i was a kid. it's been hard to get that level of enjoyment out of books since then, but cat's eye by margaret atwood and the god of small things are probably the only novels i've read at least three times each.

I still enjoy reading, but I use to read all the time. I remember when I was a big V.C. Andrews fanatic I read this book Ruby that had really small print and was about 440 pages in two and a half days when I was around 11 or 12, but ADD has really hit me recently, and I just haven't been able to really enjoy a book the way I use to when I was a kid. Maybe it's a mixture of the ADD and just that I've moved on to things like the internet, I don't know.

Some Arthur C. Clark short stories, and some of his novels.
2001 etc.

I've tried reading Ulysses a few times, but I give up at various points through it.
I have read it through about twice.

These days, its more poems I read over more than once.

Same for video games.
If I can absorb it all in 30 mins, I just move on to other things.
I just don't have the time any more

the only book i've read over & over is Wuthering Heights & i listen to it on tape as well.

ahhh the princess diaries are immense! so is the film

i've read "killing yourself to live" by chuck klosterman many times. that and "the catcher in the rye". i'm also ashamed to say that i read "the devil wears prada" at least five times if not more.

and all those Goosebumps books and a bunch of books i read in high school that were written for tweens.

I have read Go Ask Alice alot of times. Also No One Here Gets Out Alive, The Catcher in the Rye and alot of H.S.Thompson, S. King just to name a few. I use to read alot when I was younger. Not so much now.

I read Go Ask Alice I don't know HOW MANY TIMES. It took me quite awhile to accept that it was a fake though.

Goosebumps and Fear Street were the best. They just don't make books like they used to.

The Mists Of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley is a brilliant book that i've read tonnes of times.
The Fifth Sacred Thing by Starhawk.
Anam Cara by John O Donohue is a brilliant book of Celtic wisdom that always comes in handy to read

i could make a passable attempt at regurgitating homage to catalonia and for whom the bell tolls word for word

but for whom the bell tolls is practically unreadable!

embarrassingly, one of the books i've read and re read and re read is Dance While You Can by Susan Lewis. It is trashy chick lit of the lowest order.

BUT. in my defense, i stole if off my nan when i was eleven and it taught me all the things about sex my mother never could. and how to masturbate. plus i liked the dramatic love story.

i read it quite a few times as a teenager. and the battered copy is still in my bedside drawer.

also Glamourama by Bret Easton Ellis. i keep hoping that one final read will make me understand what the fuck is going on. i mean i get the general gist and plot. but...i dunno. it is a headfuck of a book.

i can quite happily re-read the new york trilogy by paul auster, lolita, wise blood by flannery o'connor, and a confederacy of dunces by john kennedy otoole

i was very fond of geek love (recommended by dirtyplotte many moons ago on kr, rip) til someone stole it from me
