I don't see how the hosts could take down the site for copyright infringement reasons. As far as I'm aware, they aren't to be held liable for the site's content, the owner of the site is. At least this is how the big deal copyright infringement cases seem to have gone in the past, but then those big deal cases dealt with sites where the owners may very well have hosted the site on their own servers? So it's not clear. But it doesn't seem right that the hosts could pull it based on content.

I mean, if the hosts could be held responsible for the data on their servers, I think it would be too risky a venture to try to sell server space in the first place, in this climate where record labels and film studios are busting balls left and right over their media.

And it's nowt to do with vBulletin in any case - all they do is develop and sell the software for the board. Its content is not their concern.

I would assume it is the hosts (the people who run the servers that the site lives on) that have pulled it since it is saying to contact them.

It'll be interesting to see why.

Guys, since I last checked the other week, it seems we had 70-odd registered members and in the course of a couple weeks, we're now somewhere in the region of 90-odd registered people. OK, a few may not have been back after registering but still, there's quite a few "live" ones

it couldn't have been the music files. brooke would have been sent a warning first and would have at least told the mods or made an announcement.

woah d00d, never thought that KR being disabled was something legal or w/ever. i thought it was the usual fuckery. maybe someone didn't like being called a molester or fat or sth so reported the board. SERIOUSLY THO I WOULDVE MUCH PREFERRED IF KR WAS MORE PRIVATE. like, you had to REGISTER to see it all ORRRR you had to be approved ORRRRRR C or D. i didn't like how you could google vaginas and then get directed to kittyradio and there's lil ol' me talking about my labs or sth.

you used to have to be registered to view the forums. it's been brought up before, but nothing was ever done about it. so i don't know.

brooke used to close registration every so often and that was pretty good. it kept out the spammers and kept the tards from re-registering.
